Jobs: Is Working Online from Home the Next Gold Rush?
- I'm a 35-year-old news veteran, who's been covering employment trends for more than a decade. I admit I can sometimes be jaded and skeptical with an 'I've seen it all attitude.'
Are people making $254/day posting links online?
When the news director John Beamer asked me to do an investigative report on people who make money with Google, I had no idea that I was about to become the star of my own news peice.
John had seen advertising for this opportunity all over the news and media lately and wanted to get to the bottom of weather this was a legitimate way to make money from home, so he gave me the task to do a story on it.
Everyone is raving over their success with these types of programs by postign pictures of themselves holding up checks from Google.
"Get paid $5 to $30 for every website link that you post on Google. No one needs to buy anything from you or Google in order to get paid. Weekly paychecks. Can work from home computer." - Online Startup Kit
Can anyone make money using these programs?
Online giant Google is a publicly traded company and is worth an estimated $100 Billion (with a b). The company has pioneered online search and has changed the way we use the internet.
I decided to investigate for myself if there was any legitimacy to these products and whether even someone like me who isn't very computer savvy could make extra income.
People everywhere are jumping on the bandwagon to make money from the comfort of their own home. With so much success more people are spreading the word, and just like the real gold rush, the more miners the less gold to go around.
Like I said... I'm in news, and I don't take anything at face value. So I decided to put Online Startup Kit to the test with fellow colleagues to make sure that I wasn't the only one who would have success.. I asked two colleagues -- my editor David and my photographer Vivian our secretary -- to take the challenge, too. They're skeptics like me, but like all of us, could use extra income to help with bills, college, and retirement.
So the three of us made a pact to try the system for 2 weeks and report on our success. After hours of researching different Google Business Kits We settled on Online Startup Kit. We knew this system had to work if they were offering a free trial. (click here to see if you qualify)
We received our order 3 days later and Katie's 30-Day Make Money Online Challenge was officially 'on.' To be honest I was skeptical, but as I started to read the instructions I realized how easy it really was. If you know how to write an e-mail then you could follow the steps.
The shocking results of our 2 week test...
After the first week we really started to get in our groove and see some results. But as we neared the last week the competition started to heat up. Here are our results after just 14 days:
David: $1351.49
Vivian: $244.84
Me: $850.44
Here is the shocking part. We decided to really measure how we did we should take into account how many hours we spent posting the links online. We wanted to see how much money we made per hour of work.
David: $1351.49 / 37 hours= $36.5/hr
Vivian: $552.84 / 8 hours= $69.1/hr
Me: $850.44 / 18 hours= $47.2/hr
I could not believe that Vivian who at first glance seemed to make the least actually made more per hour than any of us. According to Vivian it was because she was so busy with her kids she did not have much time to waste and followed the instructions in Online Startup Kit to a T. Vivian our secretary was able to make almost $70 dollars per hour.
Online Startup Kit is giving away a limited number of available spots in their program for free to help spread the word. Click Here to Reserve Your Spot
* Update: Vivian Has Unfortunately Decided to Leave Our Station
After much success with Online Startup Kit Vivian has decided to work from home full time. Click Here to read her farewell letter to the team.
